Like many photographers, I started out taking pictures of many different topics as someone new to the medium. As I explored my creativity looking for focus, I realized I was noticing details of my environment that others tended to dismiss. I would be the one to spot the spider web in the dark corner of the room or the drops of water on a window during a rainy night. It was these details that were driving me to take better pictures.
Details exist in many different places. When viewed up close, nature has the ability to astound us, as do manmade objects. However, most people just notice the bigger picture of a situation and miss the small details. Or, even when they see the details in passing, they do not notice the complexity in those details.
In my photographs, I am trying to capture the experience of those details. My photos are meant to inspire feelings in you. Not just in a visual sense, but also by touch. I want you to not just see the water on the glass, but feel like the picture is a three dimensional experience where your fingers might get wet.
Life is a series of experiences. Every person takes something different from what they see. My photographs are taken from a different point of view, like looking at the world with a child’s eye. Enjoy seeing, touching, experiencing my reality.
